Not Back to School Camp...the journey...
Our first stop: the airport...to pick up Quinn and Logan (flying in from different places at different times).
Quinn's plane.

We had a few hours to kill before we were allowed to be at NBTSC. I decided a few days ago that Lake George, in the Adirondack Mountains, would be a great place to spend that time...and it really was a wonderful decision.
We had lunch right on the lake...

And then we walked around town. Most everything was shut down in this tourist town, being that it's September. But we managed to find Exactly What We Needed.
We played Skeeball for SO long. Every time we'd wander around and see what other games to play, we'd say, "SKEEBALL!" and we'd end up just feeding quarter after quarter into those machines...all five of us lined up, balls flying up the ramp, the sound of joyful celebration when we hit the 30, 40 or 50 point holes! It was awesomely fun.
And so we collected enough tickets to buy each of the little boys a prize at the counter (and to buy me a few Swedish fish!)...
Just a few minutes more in the park before we hit the road again...Jake, Sam, Logan and Quinn pretending to be the bad-ass gang of Lake George, with their switch-blade combs...
A mere 1 hour and 40 minutes later, we were there.
And so began the journey of unloading the truck, making a very rustic cabin a home, and saying good-bye to my boys.
THIS is the picture I will carry with me during these days when we are apart. The one where they felt some excitement about being there...
Not this one, where they were so sad about me leaving...and Sam didn't even want to stay anymore...
It was a difficult journey back to home for me...what with all of the tears...
But I've had a wonderful *inner* journey since then, and I do trust that All Is Exactly As It's Supposed to Be...and I now can feel deep down, even when there are twinges of sadness about being away from my boys, that All is Truly Well.
