Sam was inspired, after walking in this direction for quite some time now, to get his long hair, that he's had for MANY years, CUT in Philadelphia!
It was Dan (of Augustana) Layn's cool hair and his obsession with playing around with it during the show, making sure it was *messed* just right, that helped Sam make the final decision, as he has been bothered by his long hair for some time now (it's in his face when he's cooking, when he's playing WoW, and lately it's been exacerbating his allergies, as it tickles his nose...).
Sam and I were so excited, we could hardly sleep! And then I was up in early Saturday morning in our hotel, on-line, looking for salons near to us.
This one being open early (Strands) and having an available stylist (Tina...we think!) was divine intervention, as Sam could not be happier with his rockin' new hair...and we can't stop looking at his beautiful face!!
As much as Jake and Sam and I LOVE Philly, it was SOOOOOO good to get to our river cabin and to be with my honey again, whom I missed horribly.

Some things never change...boys get taller, more mature and brilliant and evolved...more wonderful...hairstyles change...but a little boy whose heart is SO happy when whacking the bamboo at the river with big sticks has not changed over the years...
