Anne:

Last night, Sam was excited thinking about Saturday morning...he had a desire to recreate a Saturday morning from when he was little: watching cartoons in our jammies while eating our orange-cinnamon rolls.

So I set out to recreate this for my boy. Since we don't eat Pillsbury stuff anymore, I had to do my best to duplicate those orange cinnamon rolls.

I far exceeded those Pillsbury things with my cinnamon-orange monkey bread (which Sam started calling *Bally Cake* when he was a little boy):

We joyfully ate this fabulous creation while watching some cartoons we dvr'ed...but quickly realized, thankfully, that you just can't go back. The cartoons are not something my boys are passionate about anymore, and so the TV went off and we went back to doing that which our hearts love to do...

After eating so many carbs for brunch, I made a delicious salad for Jake and I for dinner...baby romaine and arugula and beets and sunflower seeds and fresh mozzarella and avocado...topped with Annie's Organic Shiitake and Sesame dressing and a poached egg...and these salads are always so beautiful that I can't help but photograph them!

(J: Omg, that salad was so tasty.)

Jake:

'Porous Bastard'

Lookit him, sitting there... All Citrus-y.
