Jake:

Anne:

This morning's gorgeous mist on the hills...

YAY!! Our second shipment of masks for the Masquerade Ball arrived! They are GORgeous!! Costume plans changed and shifted yet again...

I have been working on this fingerless glove for the Live and Learn Conference raffle...I started this too many days ago to admit, with such little progress made... Life has been full in other areas... I know I'll get to it all in good time...even if I have to finish the second glove at the conference...

Wow. Look. A deck (sort of). I'm FREAKING OUT. We have not been able to walk out of those french doors for 10 years! It's amazing and I just can't stop smiling about it... I am SO jazzed about having a DECK PARTY!!

We went to the Delaware County Fair. My kids hate fairs. So it was agreed that Dave and I would go and they would stay home (I don't love fairs, but Dave always wants to go, so I go with him as a gift, and I choose to have fun). But when the time came for us to leave, Jake and Sam wanted to be with their Mom and Dad ('cause we're fun).

We did some briefing beforehand...agreed to focus on the POSITIVE side...and we didn't allow the negative side to steal our Joy.

It was FUN.

I love that my honey still surprises me. Yes, I knew that he LOVES seeing the farm animals at the county fair, but when he said, "Take a picture of me with the pigs..."...now THAT surprised me.

Sam has been craving a frozen banana with chocolate and walnuts because we're watching dvd's of Arrested Development (honestly, the most CLEVER show since Seinfeld and one of the funniest shoes EVER).

He finally got his banana. Yay, Sam.

Dave:

Jake surprised me, too, at the fair. It's he that we have to protect the most from the negative energy that one can pick up at a fair (overhearing that traditional parenting crap that is nothing short of abusive, really). But I worked hard to maintain *my* energy at a high, positive vibration...and so it was easier for Jake to do so, too.

But even so...it still surprised me when I said, "I'm wanna play this squirting game...", and Jake was by my side saying, "Me, too."

We didn't win...but the little kid to whom I was going to give my prize if I won, DID win...so...

All is well. (And I saw Kathy there and I got to give her a hug and see her wonderful boys...)
